PROCEDURES FOR:
Relief (during disaster situations)
It is provided for indigent households who lost everything due to fire, floods or any kind of disaster. Immediately communicate the need for relief via office of the ward councillor.
Affidavit required stating that everything was lost during the incident and the number of people who lived in the house.
The disaster management officer will issue the relief, which will be signed for.
NB! When affected by any incident the affected have the responsibility to re-organise their lives and return to normality as soon as possible. The role of Disaster Management is to intervene only when people cannot help themselves and only for a short period for people to start rebuilding their lives.
In case of disasters
All relief will be coordinated by the disaster management officer with close liaison with office of the ward councillor.
