| SISTER CITY JACKSONVILLE PLEDGES SUPPORT TO EDUCATION - published 9 May 2012 |
A delegation from the Nelson Mandela Bay’s sister city of Jacksonville in the United States of America paid a recent visit to the city to donate a mobile clinic to the community of Chatty, and also to make a donation of R1 600 towards the Education Task Team’s uniform collection drive.
Mayor Wayile was impressed with the initiative by the Jacksonville delegation to donate the money leftover from the purchase of the mobile clinic to the uniform collection campaign, which will be used to buy school shoes for those learners in need.
