The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipal Libraries issue a challenge to all library users between the ages of three and fifteen (3 - 15).  We ask young readers to read at least eight (8) books in just six weeks.  Those who manage to read 8 books will be eligible to attend a celebratory party at the library in August 2012.
 
Friends and family of these avid readers will be able to follow their progress by viewing the “brag” boards in each participating library. Readers will receive a gold star for every book read or for a book which is read to them, after they have told the librarian enough about to book to show they have indeed read it.

The reading challenge starts on 17 June and ends on 27 July 2012.
