Organized non-governmental organizations are requested to meet before this Friday (23 August) to determine their representation on the Nelson Mandela Bay Motsepe Foundation that will be established next week.
The suggested meetings will assist the interest groups to reach an agreement on who should be their three representatives to serve on the committee that will be established on Monday, 26 August at the Nangoza Jebe Hall at 2pm.
Friday’s meeting, that will be held at 10am at Woolboard Conference Centre, Military Road, will enable organised formations of each interest group to present their level of preparedness to the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and possibly the Motsepe Foundation.
Any sectoral meetings planned, should be arranged through the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality's Constituency Coordinator’s Office to avoid any parallel processes in this regard. The municipality has been given authority to ensure order and united action that will bring about a credible process.
The previous meeting held on Friday, 16 August 2013 managed to spell out the procedure, programme and dealt with questions regarding the public meeting.
The newly established forum will determine the beneficiaries from different sectors that will benefit from a R10 million donation for this year by the Motsepe Foundation.
Sectors are also reminded that they should follow the process spearheaded by the Foundation and the municipality and not heed calls for a parallel process.
Sectors can contact the office of the Constituency Coordinator 0415054486 or email email@example.com for more information.
