ALERT: REFUSE COLLECTION - GO SLOW CHALLENGE

The NMBM is experiencing a refuse collection challenge, as Waste Management employees are on a "Go Slow”, which has resulted in the non-collection of refuse in some areas for the period from 22 May 2017 to date. 

A Contingency Plan will be put in place for the collection of refuse in some areas. It is to be noted that the collection times will not be according to the normal schedule. 

Residents who are able to dispose of their domestic waste and garden refuse (no builders rubble) at Drop-off Centres will be able to do so during this period. The Drop-off Centres’ operating hours have been extended from 6h00 to 18h00 daily as from the 1 June 2017. No residents will be turned away during this period. 

A "Hotline” to attend to residents queries will be made available during office hours from 1 June 2017 for the duration of the "Go Slow”. The details for this "Hotline” is as follows:
