Please note the Electricity swithc off of the Kudu substation for maintenance between the Municipal and Eskom substation.
When: 20 May 2018 - Time: 07H00 - 19H00. Areas affected: Greater Despatch area. Areas NOT affected: Areas fed from San Souci substation, these include: DaleviewReservoir Hills, Khayamnandi, the Industrial area, as well as sections Campher Park, Bothasrus,  Heuwelkruin and a small section on the border of Sentraal suburb.
All installations to be treated as live for the duration of the outage.

TASK Grade 12 (R337 332 – R468 996 per annum)

  • B.Bibl (Library and Information Sciences) or B.Tech (Library and Information Sciences).
  • Computer literate – Office Applications.
  • Three to four years’ experience.
  • Valid Code EB Driver’s License.




  • Incumbent must be physically fit and able bodied.
  • The management and reporting requirements associated with this post requires in depth understanding, knowledge and application of principles, acceptable practices and procedures.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Supervisory skills.
  • Report-writing skills.
  • Financial management skills.


Job purpose:


Co-ordinating tasks/activities associated with the Branch Library and monitoring the implementation of procedural sequences/requirements associated with aligning standards to meet customer objectivities, attending to the acquisition and organization of information and interacting and providing users with information from various media, creating an environment conductive to learning through the arrangement of displays and signage of new library materials and attending to administrative reporting and record updating requirements.



As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
