VACANCY

DIRECTOR: METRO PLANNING: SDF

(LAND PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT)

POSITION CODE:  180020

TASK Grade 17 (R609 852 – R847 872 per annum)

(Basic salary only, excluding benefits)

 

Requirements:

 

  • Degree/Diploma in Town Planning.
  • Registration as a Professional Planner with the South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN).
  • Six to eight years’ relevant experience.
  • A valid Code EB Driver’s Licence.

 

Competencies:

 

  • Ability to demonstrate developed strategic planning, research and analytical skills.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be physically fit and able-bodied.

 

Job purpose:

 

  • Planning and controlling the key performance areas and result indicators associated with the Metro Planning Division.
  • Preparing a Spatial Development Framework to strategically guide and direct future growth and investment in the metropolitan geographical area.
  • Executing and applying procedures, regulations and standards in order to ensure that plans and related policies identified in the Integrated Development Plan are afforded priority.

 

 

As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
