Qualifications and experience required:
- B.Com Degree or equivalent.
- One to two years’ relevant experience.
- The incumbent must have an understanding of professional application of legislative and Council requirements.
- Must have the ability to interpret financial reports.
- Incumbent must co-ordinate and control sequences associated with the verification and provision of information related to creditors accounts.
- The incumbent must provide guidelines / guidance / training to the personnel on the application of procedures.
- The incumbent must be able to prepare financial statements and reports.
- Computer literacy – office application.
- A high level of attention to detail skills is required.
Job purpose:
Co-ordinates and controls the key performance and result indicators associated with the Creditors Section, through the implementation of laid down policies and procedures dictating the administration, supervision and control of payments to suppliers, contractors and other creditors for the Metro.
As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
