The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s Koedoeskloof waste disposal site has suspended its operations today (21 October 2020) after a fire broke out last night. Currently the site is unusable for the day until the fire has been put out. Investigations are still underway as to what started the fire on Tuesday night.

Waste vehicles will be diverted to Arlington waste disposal site and residents are advised to do the same. The City will communicate later today if the site will reopen on Thursday or not.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and call for residents’ cooperation and patience while the City works around the problem.
