NMBM EXECUTIVE MAYOR TO ENGAGE WITH RELIGIOUS FRATERNITY

As part of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s commitment to fostering inclusive governance, strengthening partnerships and building social cohesion with key community stakeholders, Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Executive Mayor, Councillor Babalwa Lobishe, will on Friday, 24 July 2026 lead an engagement with the Nelson Mandela Bay Religious Fraternity.

The engagement, which is expected to be robust and progressive, will touch on a number of issues affecting the development of the City, the fraternity and its interface with the Municipality, as well as other matters of mutual concern.

The engagement will provide a platform for constructive dialogue on the role of faith-based organisations in advancing social cohesion, ethical leadership and community development.

Following the meeting, Executive Mayor Lobishe will hold a joint media briefing with the Religious Fraternity to share with the media and the public the key areas of discussion and the resolutions taken going forward.
