UPDATE: ZWIDE POWER OUTAGE

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents that while the team was busy with fault-finding following the power outage, they discovered a cable fault between Ngwekazi Dip and Ngekwazi Church substation. Supply has been restored to certain parts of Zwide, however, the following 8 substations are still off due to the cable fault:

* Ngwekazi Dip
* Qeqe1
* Konga
* Vabasa
* Mabope Mini
* Maboya
* Stadium
* Mbane1

The team will continue working around the clock to restore power supply as soon as possible.

POWER OUTAGE IN NEWBRIGHTON AND SURROUNDING AREAS

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents that a 66kV circuit breaker tripped at KwaFord/ Straundale causing a loss of power supply in NewBrighton and surrounding areas.

A team has been dispatched for investigation and repairs.
